Doug George founded G&C in 2008 with a vision to provide expert sales and use tax service to companies that operate in Kentucky and the surrounding states. When Doug George retired from the Department of Revenue in 2007, he knew that the common business had a need for someone that could come in and provide the expertise he had acquired during his many years of service with the Department. His thoughts were to get each company he dealt with a fair and even shake, by providing them with his knowledge of how taxes work within Kentucky and all surrounding states. It was his finding early on that everyone he provided his service to was indeed giving away some of their bottom-line income by paying too much tax.
In 2012, Doug’s younger brother Scott retired from the Department as well, where he had served as District Manager over the Department of Revenue’s Southeastern Kentucky office in Corbin. As G&C’s workforce doubled so did our services and expertise. Since its inception G&C has obtained more than 34 million dollars in tax refunds and millions of other dollars in future tax savings for their clients throughout Kentucky and the surrounding states. The future tax savings are what we strive for, as many consultants only want the refund, we want to get you pointed in the right direction.
